Animal abuse cases have been on the rise and people do so indiscriminately. People are aware of this issue but choose to turn a blind eye to such cases. In Singapore, domestic animals, mainly the cats and dogs, are victims 
of abuse, and are also those with the highest amount of cases that were a result of irresponsible owners.
The forms of abuse include beating, flinging, bullying, neglect and abandonment.

The objective in doing this project is to bring up the social issue to make it more aware by the people. It is to convey that these animals are not able to survive on their own and have to be protected and taken care of. 
These animals have a life and their lives do matter. We hope to get people to be exposed to what the animals are facing and bring out the conscience in them, making them question themselves if they would like it if it happened to them.

By doing this, we hope that people will be more willing to lend a helping hand to these animals in distress and not pretend to be ignorant of what is happening. By exposing people to how animals see us as scary, we hope that those with pets will think twice when treating their pets and not appear to be as brutal as what the masks portray. By putting people into the animals’ shoes, we hope that people will become more empathetic of the awful feeling of being mistreated. In other words, the goal is to tell people that animals deserve to be treated equally to humans for they are also part of our existence.
